The Minister of Mines has led a delegation of 4 officers to this year's ADU Mining Conference. This conference is usually attended by all African Mining ministers where Australian Mining Companies work. The forum aims at marketing mining projects and promoting further investment into mining projects. Hon Albert Mbawala is accompanied by the PS Dr Joseph Mkandawire, Ag Director of Geological Survey (Mr. Dombola) and Ag Director of Mines (Mr. Msika). Among those in attendance are officials from Lotus Africa Limited, Sovereign Metals and Lindian Resources. These have advanced projects for mining in Urainium, Rutile/graphite and rare earths.
