The Coordinator of Malawi Chamber of Mines and Energy (CMEM), Grain Malunga, participated in a ZODIAK TV discussion on transparency initiative the country is undertaking in the minerals, oil and gas, and forestry sector. The discussion was attended by Honorable Welani Chilenga, Chairman for Parliamentary Committee for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Malawi Extractive Transparency Initiative (MWEITI) Representative and Elyvin Nkhonjera of Natural Resource Justice Network (NRJN).

The discussion centered on the performance of the Natural Resources Sector and transparency in business transactions including product marketing and handling of contact agreements. Community benefit sharing was emphasized to benefit communities around projects.
